Hi

I have a TS-TGL/R5 Station, and i am having problems with it,

I can only find it using the teranavigator, and it says it's in EM Mode

I cannot access it throug telnet, http or serial

I tried updating the firmware, but i only receive errors (as seen on theese screenshots)

Can you please tell me the next step, i have been googling, browsing the forum, and i'm out of ideas...

Someone said that the next step would be using TFTP boot procedure, and sent a link to some ftp server

ftp://24.153.165.234/disk1/share/nas-recovery/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">ftp://24.153.165.234/disk1/share/nas-recovery/

I cant find my TS there...

Did you download the firmware wirelessly?

idle

I am not sure if i understand you correctly, did i download the firmware throug WI-FI to my computer ?

Then no, my machine is wired, and i ran this on a Server 2003

and btw, i tried 2 different firmwares:

http://www.buffalotech.com/support/getfile/TSPro-1.04-0.01-CharFix.zip">http://www.buffalotech.com/support/getfile/TSPro-1.04-0.01-CharFix.zip

and

http://www.buffalotech.com/support/getfile/TSPro-1.01-0.51-withAD.zip">http://www.buffalotech.com/support/getfile/TSPro-1.01-0.51-withAD.zip

i also tried setting Debug = 1

ran the updater in /force mode

and set the versioncheck = 0

The TFTP option does not exist for this device as stated in the walkthrough:

***(NOTE: Some older NAS models may not have a TFTP  solution available, if you cannot find your model in the listing please DO  NOT attempt to

use the TFTP program of another model.)***

It's possible that the NAS is having difficulty communicating to the drives which could indicate a dead/failing controller.  Since you've tried 2 different firmware types I would rule out corrupted downloads.  There are disassembly instructions in the online documentation found here so that you may remove the drives.  I would recommend attaching them to a PC capable of RAID running a "Live CD" of Knoppix or Ubuntu and seeing if the data is still accessible (if it is of concern).  If the drives all show up then that confirms there is a controller failure on the NAS.

I tried starting the device without discs.

and then i installed used discs, that i was using on my computer, and i have never connected to the Terastation before,

do i have to install the discs without partitions, or formatted or something ?

There is no TFTP option available for this device so installing blank/formatted HDDs into the device will not solve the problem.  Please read my previous post a little more carefully.  Recovery of this NAS is not very likely at this point.
