Does WebAccess blocks the ports in HTTPS/SSL situation

I am posting my issue since I obtained no help from Buffalo. Terrible support they have.
I wonder if anybody can help me with the issue below:

Thank you for assisting me further with this issue which I have tested at length.
I am trying to use an alternative way to buffalonas.com and this is by using an alternative DNS in WebAccess. I also have a Digital Certificate  issued by DigiCert and verified as working.

1. In a NON-ENCRYPTED SCENARIO, I can login in the interface without any problem. The internal port of the Buffalo Terastation was 9000 as suggested in the manual and with both PnP and and without PnP and an External port xxxyy the alternative DNS allows me to see the interface and login.

2. HOWEVER, in the ENCRYPTED SCENARIO, where I am changing ONLY whereby HTTPS/SSL Encryption is ENABLED I am not allowed to see the interface and the message is consistent with port blocking access. The ports - both internal and external - remain the same, the SSL Certificate and KEY were installed and message was Installation Successful. Port 443 remains open on the router as well as Port Redirection properly delegated to the external port of the Terastation.

Interestingly, I have used from within the LAN a port check software. In the scenario where Encryption is DISABLED => the internal port is OPEN and in scenario with Encryption ENABLED => internal port in CLOSED.

Based on the above, can you assist as to how to make SCENARION HTTPS/SSL  work having already installed successfully the key and certificate from DigiCert? Thank you for everyone who can assist.

On the older units web access uses TLS version 1.0 which is no longer supported for a https connection on any modern browser.

No idea if this is the case for you since you don't say what device you have.
PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.
