Hi All

I'm looking to buy the:

Buffalo Technology 500GB LinkStation Live LS-CHL Shared Multimedia Storage

(MPN: LSCH500L)

However I'm keen to avoid any further software installation where its not necessary I'd love to buy this item, but I don't want to have to install ANY software on my PC's/Laptop's.

Is it possible to configure the Linkstation entirely through it's web interface? Once plugged into my network I'll be able to find its IP address via my router DHCP table, and thus should be able to access the web interface to make any changes?

I've downloaded the Software manual for this item, but it doesn't answer my question. Hope you guys can help!

Cheers, Ahmad

You should be able to do it with no problems.  The only software you need for the unit is the NasNavi Client Utility.  That tool is very useful when trying to diagnose any issues that you might have with the unit.
