Cant access Terastation 1.0 from web, fileshare or ftp anymore

I have a Terastation 1.0TB

Model: HD-H1.0TGL/R5

Serial: 15801061015574

 

Its firmware was upgraded (by me) about 6 months ago, with no problems (although i dont remember which version i used, it was whatever was current at the time though.

 

Anyway it has a static IP on my network.

Worked fine for about a year.

 

Now i cant access it.  No web interface,  the client utility wont find it, etc.

It *does* PING though, continuously.  All green lights. Boots normally.  I see activity on the LAN light.

 

I tried using the "hold the init button down for 15 seconds" got the little red diag light to blink and the thing then picked up a DHCP address and changed its ip.

 

Same problem. cant log in, cant get the web page to come up, etc.  Wont respond to requests to map a drive to it from a pc on the same network.

 

I have data on this thing, i'd liek to be able to use it, and i'm thinking there's somethign simple wrong.

Connect it directly to the lan port of your pc, and try to find it with the Nas Navigator again, since you reset it, it most likely has a different IP now.

Oh i know what its ip is.  Thats not the problem.

(I can look on my DHCP server and get the IP, which is new of course but same problem - i can ping it, but nothing else works).

Any update on this?  This thing goes to the landfill unless i can recover it somehow.

When it does, all the other terastations we own will be following it shortly...
