Cant find external drive connected to my Linkstation live

   I have a Seagate 500gb external drive connected to my Linkstation live, and even though it appears in the shared folder in both the browser management and the linkstation folder, I does'nt appear on any of my media players (pinnacle showcenter and JVCDD3),All the other shared folders are detected by both machines.Is there a little box I should be ticking somewhere?

If you go into the Web Interface, then the PCast menu you should see a checkbox marked USB Disk under the Media Folder dropdown, make sure this is checked.

   yeah, I've had that box checked from the start and the usb drive even shows up in the drop-down box of shares beside it, but it just does'nt seem to be getting picked up by any of my media players.
