Brand new 2TB USB 3.0 HD-HX2.0TU3 and unable to download utilities because of wrong serial ????

Hi,

 

Hope someone can help me with my serial-number problem.

 

I just bought the brand new DriveStation USB 3.0 HD-HX2.0TU3 with 2.0TB of storage. I tried to download the http://www.buffalotech.com/support/downloads/drivestation-usb-30-hd-hxu3/" target="_self" rel="nofollow">latest utilities on the buffalotech website. It asks for the the drive serial-number, but it doesn't work when I provide it...

 

Both serials I have are not working :

• the one under the DriveStation is a 14 digit number, like 1553xxxxxx2284 and doesn't work
• the one that was on the plastic packaging the drive doesn't work either (MEMBUFF000-FD35-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-718T)

 

Everytime it tells me : "Invalid serial number".

 

What's wrong ? What is happening ?

Last night I was entering the Memeo serial (number plastic wrapper) by mistake and tried the one on the base of unit and was able to access right away on the website. You should double check and see if maybe you are misreading a digit. I still cannot get mine installed but at least I was able to download software.

Website that you mentioned is provided and supported for North American Users only.

If you do not buy products in North America will not be able to find serial number. Please download from the website of the country you buy.

Thank you very much for the hint. I went back to the website, selected the region (on top-left), selected the langage, and then, after selecting the product, I was able to download the files...

I had a lot of windows open on screen last time. One was on the localized buffalo website, the other to display the product, forums, ... I probably left the localized one without remarquing it...

 

Anyway : it works, I have downloaded them. Thanks folks !!
