Is a Linkstation Right for Me?

Greetings, all - am trying to decide whether the LinkStation Quad models are the right fit for my situation.  Basically, I own 400 DVD's and about 100GB of music that I want share across endpoints like WDTV Live, PS3/XBOX 360, desktops, and other devices in my home.

The price difference between the 2TB and 6TB models is pretty severe ($300-$700), and it doesn't look like Buffalo offers a bare drive model.  Therefore, here are my questions:

1. Is there another option I haven't considered for the storage end of my plan?
2. I'm fairly certain that the Quad will work with all of the endpoints I have mentioned, but are there certain devices that work better?

3. Is the Linkstation a user-friendly device?  I need a 'set up and forget it' solution, but am aware that I might have to touch it once in awhile.

4. Is the DLNA option really all it's cracked up to be?  I need my ripped DVD's to play flawlessly between the various endpoints. I have a 10-port switch and CAT5 throughout my house.

5. Besides the drives, Is there any difference between the 2TB and 6TB models?

I appreciate everyone's feedback and honesty in answering my questions.

Matt
