This storage device was formally attached to a server but now I would like to access the data from my pc but I dont remember the password and cannot figure out how to access the data - can anyone help?

Are you referring to the username/password which is used by the share folder inside the Linkstation?

 

Use Nas Navigator, access the web console and goto share folders.

 

Diable the access restriction on that folder.

 

You can access the folder now.

 

That is provided if you know the web console's username/password.

 

Default is username : admin    password : password
