About 3 of our 20 users are reporting getting kicked off the network several times a day.

The setup is a BS-GS2008 Business Switch on a Comcast Xfinity CBR-T cable modem. Settings on both devices are default, except names and credentials.

Some of the users getting kicked off are on WiFi (built into the modem), some are wired. Some users are wired to the modem, some to the switch. MAYBE only users wired to the modem have problems. Devices are a printer, VoIP, Chromecast, cellphones, computers. The modem uses 10.1.10.1.

Settings I noticed on the Buffalo switch that look interesting:
1. Layer 2 or Layer3 (L2 default).
2. Loop-back protection (on by default).

I assume that these days a misbehaving device cannot bork the DHCP assignments?? Used to happen on mixed Win32/Mac networks I worked on decades ago. We do not use any fixed routes or port assignments. Everything is super basic.
