Hide DVD-RW drive in HD-PXU2

Everytime i plug my Portable HD into the computer, it's read as 2 drives. One drive is DVD-RW Drive:Utility_HD-PXU2 and another drive is Removable Disk.

Is there any way to hide the DVD-RW Drive?

 

And, i have newer DriveNavigator version (1.10) than one in the DVD-RW Drive:Utility_HD-PXU2 (1.00).

How to replace the old one in the DVD-RW Drive:Utility_HD-PXU2?

Same question from me.  Just installed the drive. I've got a large number of drives on my system & really don't need to see a "CD-ROM", which is the way the extra drive is displayed, that I'll never use & that already has an old version of the driver software.

 

I'm running Windows 7.

Until we get a utility to remove the virtual drive, you can hide it by using the same disk partitioning tool provided with Vista or Windows 7. Open the program, and then right-click on the drive.   This will help you "hide" the problem from the OS, but  this virtual drive creates problems for me with the set top box I use to play videos on my TV (Popcorn Hour A-110).  The HD-PXU2 is attached to the set top box which only finds the first partition and NOT the partition where my movies are stored. I have found no way around this, and so cannot use the drive for the purpose I originally intended it for.  I'm pretty chapped about not being able to remove the virtual drive.

There is no way around this.  The CD-ROM drive that you see is built into the flash.
