I have a TS_TGL with 4x500GB drives that is stuck in EM Mode.

I have tried to update the firmware, but I get the message that the terastation can't respond.

I tried to look through the 3 FAQ posts in the forum, but steps 2 and 3 seem to be missing.

I can view the TS in Nas Navigator2, but it has a question mark over the picture and I cannot do anything with the device.

Can anyone help please ?

Thanks

I was trying to install 1.04, this was on a new terastation, bought without drives and having 4 new 50GB drives installed, so no data was lost.

I got it working by chance in the end by pressing the hidden button after it booted into EM Mode, this seemed to allow me to start the firmware update. The unit already had v1.04, but it was corrupt and a complete reinstall of the firmware seemed to sort it out.

The unit is now setting up the 4x500GB drives as RAID5 ready for use, the interface is reporting 250 minutes left from a total of 800 reported earlier !

Thanks for your help though !
