Well.... I got the BUFFALO HD-PE320U2 and i was putting some files there. When i tried to put a file over 3gb of size it said that it won't fit there even though there was over 200gb of free space. So i because of some stupid reason i formated the whole thing. I took all of the mobilelauncher and all that stuff from there and put them to safety. I formated it with the program that came with it and now the problem is that i can't see it in my computer even though there comes the usb sound when i plug it in. So i can't do anything with it now.  Is there anything i can do? Help!

Does it show up in disk management?  (right click on 'computer' and go to manage, then click disk management)

Magzi

No, but i can see it in the control panel's device manager in the disk drives section. As i think it should.

Post a screen shot of disk management in tinypic and post the link here, my bet is that you formatted the drive and either didnt reinitalize or reallocate the partition.

PM me for TFTP / Boot Images / Recovery files  LSRecovery.exe file.

Don't know why i must show this but there it is. You can't even see it there.

If it is listed as Disk 2, then you have not finished setting up the drive.  You need to format and assign a drive letter.

PCPiranha

That was why Davo was asking, it looks like it is disk 2, you should just need to format/initialize it.

Magzi

Oh i see. I'll try to format or initialize it when i get home in 2 days. I formated it with the program when i failed the whole thing so do i have to format it again then?

davo

right click  disk 2 (the long horizontal bar) => New Simple Volume => Go through the wizard leaving all the setting as default and this will do the format for you.

Bare in mind it might take a while to complete.

It works again. I guess it would have worked that way too but my dad was doing something on my old computer and he formated it when you can format a disk in the beginning of installing Windows. I can put put files over 3gb of size in there and i don't seem to need to put the mobilelauncher and all that stuff back in there. Thank you for the help though!
