Can't Access Linkstation from new Laptop

I have a Buffalo Linkstation LS-CH500L which worked well with my Windows 7 Laptop. I have a new laptop which runs Windows 10 PRO version 22H2 fully updated. The Linkstation is connected directly via cat5 cable to my router and is set to 'ON'. However,
using a shortcut on my desktop ' \\LS-CHLB31\share ' returns the error message 'Windows cannot access \\LS-CHLB31\share' If I use the Diagnose option in the error report, it returns The remote device or resource won't accept the connection'. I can't see the Linkstation in the list of devices in my 'Network' display.. (only my laptop and my Router are showing....
Any suggestions as to how I can reconnect my Linkstation would be most welcome. I don't have the installation cd which came with the linkstation when I bought it quite some time ago.....

That LinkStation only supports SMB version 1, which has been disabled by Microsoft in Windows 10 because it's not secure.
