I have a pro duo LS-W1.0TGL/R1 with 3.10 firmware that is giving me a headache.  Under the folder "media" have have folders for pictures, music, etc.  I was trying to create a new folder "2010" under pictures for this year's pictures, which I have done many times before.  Today I get an 'access denied' error, I cannot modify anything directly under the 'pictures' folder but can make any changes I want to the other sub folders for other years.

It seems the permissions have gotten goobered up but I can't fix it.  Access restrictions are disabled, I updated to 3.10 and have tried other computers and user profiles with the same result.

Any help in resolving appreciated.

Thanks,

Jim

The best idea is to create new folders through the ls pro duo web gui.  See if that works.

If you're talking about the "shared folders" section of the administrator pages, I can only create top-level folders there, which the 'pictures' folder isn't.  Also doesn't explain why I can't modify anything directly under the pictures folder, but can one level under it.

I logged in via telnet and noticed the owner for 'pictures' got changed to root somehow.  I changed it back and all is well.
