if i try to copy directories from my LS to an external drive i get error 36 that the directory exist on the drive and couldnt be copied. sometimes i copy some directories and they are away after copying. very strange. afp and smb is activated. latest firmware installed.

anyone who have this problem too?

make sure you mounted your ls-xhl with afp.  Besides that, if your moving files from the ls-xhl through your desktop and then to a usb hard drive I could imagine that would create problems.  If you want to backup the ls-xhl the best way is to connect the usb hd that has it's own power connection besides usb port.  Then format the usb hd to xfs through the buffalo and then create backup jobs on the buffalo ls xhl to the usb hd that has been formatted to xfs.
