I have a "Buffalo HD-HS500U2-R" usb hard drive, and i need to do a full system backup, but windows installed the drive as a "Hitachi HDP725050GLA360". it dosent even show up under "My Computer".

What am i suposed to do now?

 

I am operating on a:

Dell Dimension E510

Win XP SP3

2.8 ghz dual

Anyone, please help?

I guess I just need to know how to replace its driver, or whatever needs to be done to get it to show up under my computer.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Does it show up in disk management?  What options do you have when you right click on it?  Does it also do this on other computers?
