So I had a full meltdown of my linkstation over the nightime hours. I woke up to find 234 messages in your inbox that the linkstations disk has errors. Seems most of the files are there but the strange thing some of the folder are not. I'll explain. I open up one of my mapped drives and inside is physically 163 folders, thats what the windows says on the bottom and if I count them there are 163. I had 219, so there are some missing. Now if I do "control" "A" and select properties it tells me that there are 219 folders. So were are these folders? Any help would be greatful. Were did the linkstation hide these folders?

Sounds like hard disk failure, and resultant data corruption. Restore from a backup, or contact a data recovery service if it's critical data.

As far as the device itself, if it's within warranty and was purchased in North America, please contact technical support to obtain a replacement.
