Hi Guys,

Is there somebody from Buffalo tech support ready to help me? I posted twice as below, but no useful answer. I sent emails to technical support either to Malaysia or to US, but no answer?

I would like just to get minimum of support on basic disk extension as described below, but it seems impossible to get it. I'm living in one country where there is no reseller, but I was excepting minimum of support remotely, but it seems totally impossible with Buffalo.

Sorry, but I reach conclusion that this company doesn't take care of his customers!!!

Email them. They are pretty good getting back to you. None of my issues are solved (Window 7 compatibility), but they do respond.

Retailleau

Yes, but if you bought product in Thailand, there is no email address facility provided by the hot-line. Does somebody know email address for South East Asia?

My request has been rejected already by US and UK EMEA (Europe, Middle-East and Africa). I didn't find email address for Asia and South East Asia yet.

Thanks in advance

I also bought my Linkstation in Thailand, but I live in China. Like you, Buffalo will not give support, they keep rejecting my serial # as being valid. I traveled back to Thailand to get some answers. The result is that Buffalo products bought in Thailand through their authorized resellers, are not supported by Buffalo. Why?? Who knows.  But the fact is Thailand is blacklisted from Buffalo support.

***BuckChuck - either provide some details so we can help or go elsewhere for soapboxing. Don't fill up someone's post with junk. We'd like to help you, just provide all the details. These forums are for helping people with issues or to help learn new ways to use their product.*** Send your serial number to mailto:drmemory@buffalotech.com" rel="nofollow" target=_blank>drmemory@buffalotech.com, I'll get the product/SN added to the Thailand download page, and quit the soap-boxing.

BTW - FW 1.21 is the latest FW for your product.

Retailleau  - I'll get you an email address for Asia-pacific area.

Buffalo has different regions for tech support and the things that you can try to fix an issue.  For instance, we always tell people to do a force firmware update, but overseas that can void your warranty.  Let me see if I can find a number that you can use for support.

Retailleau

Ok, but does sombody know where could I find the 1.21 firmware ?

PCPiranha

If it is not on your local regions website I wouldn't try it....

Retailleau

So PCPiranha, did you find a number that I can use ?

PCPiranha

It looks like Dr Memory is getting an email address for you (see bucks edit)

Retailleau

Actually, nothing appends, it seems everybody is willing to help me, but no concrete movement. I didn't get any answer to the detailed email that I sent to mailto:drmemory@buffalotech.com" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">drmemory@buffalotech.com, and there is no update on the Thailand download web page.

Buckchuk is may be right, but so far, I still don't know where can I get the 1.21 firmware mentioned? and nobody answers to my emails.

It's no question of soap boxing, it just matter of fact, that I bought product which doesn't work as per his basic specification, and so far, after more than one month, it still impossible to get a single useful answer.

I can be patient, but a least I would appreciate an answer confirming that bug is known and will be fixed through next firmware with clear availability date committed.... If it's the case ?
