Hi there!

I posted this before, but the problem was not solved :(

I recently bought a Buffalo HD-PXU2 external hard drive (500GB). Since I am using a PC I set up a password and everything worked fine. Unfortunately, the other computer here runs Linux which apparently does not recognize the hard drive unless you have admin privileges (which I don't - not sure about whether it would work then). Therefore I now need to remove the password. Can anybody please tell me how to do this?

Formatting the drive did not help.

Thanks a lot!

You have to use the secure lock manager (will need a windows computer).  There is very detailed step by step instructions on page 7 in the manual.

Thanks, that worked! :smileyvery-happy:

The manual wasn't easy to find, though, since my PC's default simply didn't open it and I had no idea it was there...
