Folder Limitations

I tried asking this question but it seems its a bit tricky so I will try it again. Is there a limit on the size or amount of files a shared folder could be? I have one that has almost 230 folders full of more than 20k pictures but all I am able to see is 167 folders, about 11k pictures. Any ideas?
