How to select a web access folder?

I have a new Linkstation with firmware 4.40.  I checked to see if an update is available and it's not.  The user https://walmartoneme.com guide says when creating a shared folder to be the web access folder check the web access LAN protocol under folder settings. There are numerous protocols to choose from but there is no web access protocol.  I guess the user guide is outdated? How do I select a web access folder?
