I have TS Pro that has version 1.04 and I noticed that on the web the latest version is 1.33 or something similar. I wasn't able to find a list of changes - what is the general trend in here? Should we upgarde our version or not? As part of the price we should be entitled to firmware upgrades but I would like to see a readme .txt about the changes first.

Thank you

  • Solve building RAID array failure problem when larger capacity spare disk is used rather than standard.
  • Correct E06 and E07 error indication.
  • Correct mail notification message when multiple folders backup is done.
  • Support Windows2008 Server AD
  • Solve Vista SP1 AD problem.
  • Solve large number users participating domain problem.
  • Correct disk failure indication (Error E23) instead of E04.
  • Solve hidden USB disk share setting problem.

These were the changes made to the Terastation Pro II's 1.33 firmware.  Make sure you have a Pro 2 and not a pro.

So should we upgrade? Is this the recommended way to go?

Thank you for answer

I usually don't recommend doing a firmware update if everything on the unit is functioning the way you want it to.  You can, but I always say that "if it isn't broke, don't fix it".

Can anyone please tell me whether a firmware upgrade will erase all my data please?

Thanks
