It allows me to login as admin, the info on the right comes up but no menu options on the left. Have 2 of these, and the other one is fine.

I do get an exclaimation mark in the botton left of the browser where it says DONE.

I have "force" updated the firmware as it was already on the latest (2.14). My working one is on the same firmware.

This is really annoying as I have now had 4 of these units, and all except 1 have gone wrong. Is there a reliability issue with them or am I just unlucky? The other problems have all being non working drives on delivery.

Any help appreciated before I throw it out of the window.

Thanks

Dean

Are you getting any error/info lights?  If the data is backed up I would recommend a force firmware update with the "rebuild partition table" checked.

In terms of problems with these units; I have always found this unit to be very stable and reliable.  Is it possible that you are experiencing and power inconsistencies?  What were the problems with the other drives?

No lights/errors, but your solution worked. Even though I got a E04 error on reboot, so had to boot in EM mode. Just reconfigured the raid, so hope it is all okay.

The problems I have had on the other units seem to be bad disks. The problem is when one disk goes wrong, even though the whole idea is that it is RAID, seems to screw the whole unit, so loss of all data. To the point that now I am duplicating everything just in case, which is not the idea of having RAID systems.

Not convinced on this range of products, but as I have them I will see how I get on.

Thanks for your help

Well acutally you should never have just one source of backup for your data.  This is RAID yes but RAID just protects against HD failure!  Not other hardware related problems.  Remember there is RAID controllers, Processors, Memory.  We put the USB ports on the units so you can use a USB device to backup to so you have multiple backups!
