I have a new windows 7 32 bit machine from Dell.  Trying to get my Buffalo HD-HC500u2 intstalled.  When I plug it in, it recognizes and installs the drivers, but does not let me view the machine in Computer.  It is listed in Devices though.  I installed SecureLockWare and when I ask it to unlock, it says there is no target drive.  Any thoughts?

See if you are able to initilze the device in computer management- by right clicking on computer and going to manage, then disk management you should be able to see your drive there to initilize or give a drive letter.  Should have no issues logging in using secure lockware with 32bit.  Make sure the device is working on other machines.

I am able to see the device in Computer Management, but am unable to do anything but Delete Volume by right-clicking.  I tried the drive on a Windows XP machine and it works as it should. Any other ideas?

SLW mobile works with windows 7 but the regular SLW will not work with windows 7.  I apologize for the inconvenience.

Are there any plans to release a Windows 7 update to the SLW software?  Can I use SLW mobile to access a drivestation unit?

PCPiranha

SLW Mobile is the hardware encryption used by the HD-CX and HD-PX series drives, and can't be used with regular Drivestations. You may want to look into a different encryption software such as TrueCrypt.
