Getting dd-wrt on WHR-300HP2D

I have a new AirstationN300 (WHR-300HP2D) and have been attempting to flash it with dd-wrt.  I've read that I need to 30-30-30 reset it, followed by flashing the bin file via tftp2.exe.  I changed the IP address to 162.168.11.7 and every time I try to flash it, it does not find the device.  Is there another process that will work to get dd-wrt on this device?  Thank you very much!

what firmware is on it? that router comes with DDWRT by default.
