Incorrect password or username LS-WXL7B2

When attempting to access Link Station LS-WXL7B2 from another computer the "Connect to LS-WXL7B2 dialog appears indicating "Incorrect password or unknown  username for: LS-WXL7B2.  Without having to change username and by entering a password, access is granted to LS-WXL7B2.  What settings need to be applied in Buffalo NAS Navigator 2 v2.24 to allow windows authentication, meaning I don't want to enter a password every time I access LS-WXL7B2 from the other computer.  Thanks for your help.

Depending on how you are access the buffalo, first go into a web browser like firefox and put in the ip address of the buffalo and log in with admin and password.  Then go to shared folders, select that folder and turn off access restrictions.  Then on the computer you are having issues on, go to start search\run and put in \\ipof buffalo ex \\192.168.1.5 .  Press enter, then right click on the shared folder and map network drive,/

I have not changed the default settings when creating a new share folder i.e. restrictions have never been enabled on the folder.  Any other ideas?

Double check by click on a share in the share folders section.  Make sure access restrictions are disabled.  Also how are you accessing the unit?
