Files still show after delete?

Hi

I have deleted a folder with sub folders and files via the online admin area and it instantly deleted - great

 

But when i open the buffalo LS250GL on my dektop or via 'Network' and navigate through - it still shows the files i just deleted - very strange. Also they are faded and says i cannot delete due to not being able to locate them???

 

I done this and created another folder (different name) as the whole windows vista withit auto sync was getting on my nerves

 

I simply just want to place all my docs, images and all folders under my name onto the buffalo and when i work it will be working on the buffalo files and they will be backed up to another usb drive daily

 

to do this the best way is to change the current location of the files in vista to the address in the file properties to \\LS-GL674\Steve\Documents or whatever. That way i can navigate through my vista computer just as before but behind everything its accessing and saving to the linkstation not my laptop (incase it crashes like it does occassionally

 

I just need to know how to permanebtly delete these files from showing on my laptop after a delete in the online admin has been done??

Try resetting the unit throught the web interface.

ok, so totally reset up the whole device again

 

also i need this annoying sync to go away in vista as when files are deleted from the device, sync still looks for the link and pops up a message all the time to say no network connection (trying to connect to deleted folder)

 

its so annoying - can sync be turned off so i can just change location of my folders etc to the unit?
