HD-CE1.0TLU2 Powers Down Randomly

I just purchased the HD-CE1.0TLU2 and have ran across a problem where the drive will shut down after some time. I am running the drive in NAS/Ethernet mode. This is happening as I am sending large data backups to the drive, and the job keeps failing as the drive shuts down and cuts off the transfer (usually around an hour to 3 hours). I have disabled eco-mode in my 192.168.0.xxx ip configuration for the drive, and also have applied the latest firmware update of 1.47. I have seen other posts that seem to think that the firmware update should fix the issue, but it still persists with me. Please help.

The device has to be in fat32 file system.  Which means it has a 4gig file size cap.  COuld be a reason why you are issues.

In LAN mode you can transfer up to 127GB, but the file will be broken down into 4 GB chunks and thus the files will be unaccessable in USB mode.  As Kameran stated this is a limitation of the file system.  Are your transfers over 127 GBs?

   I am transferring a large volume of small files - none of which are individually over 4GB. Overall I an transferring a total volume of about 30 GB at a time.

There shouldn't be a reaon that doesn't work... Are you hardwired or wireless to the switch/router it's connected to?  Does it show any of the data you transferred in the share folder?  How are you transferring files?  Does it power down after the same amount of time everytime?
