yes,  i buyed 2 days ago,  running normal

and i'm wonder, why small data write (1k-10k) slow ?

i think very slow,  compare to my 120G 2.5inch USB hard

What is the exact model of your drivestation?

Is it HD-CEU2 or HD-HSU2?

Regarding the slow transfer speed,

1) Is your computer using USB 2.0 connections?

2) Did you install Turbo USB software into your computer?

Regarding the Delay Write Failure,

1) Using back the original cable given in the Buffalo box, did you have the same problem?

2) Have you tested the Drivestation on another computer and see if same error occurs?

3) If yes for the both qns above, it seems that the harddrive inside the Drivestation might be faulty.

i have model HD-CE1. OTU2-A2

i  tested another computer,  working good,  no  slow write, no delayed

write failure

this another computer,  it's OS XP-SP2

i tried re-install OS version

XP-SP2 and XP-SP3 new install

XP-SP3 have problem,  slow write and delayed write failure (when seperate cable)

but, XP-SP2, no problem

is this problem OS XP-SP3 version ?

maybe somewhere problem,

Lenovo Notebook N100

XP-SP3

Buffallo drivestation

this problem complicated

If you have tested it on another computer and there are no problems with the Drivestation which shows that your Lenovo N100 might be facing one of the below-mentioned problems.

1) Drivers for the N100 not properly installed or verified.

2) USB ports on the N100 might be faulty.

Check if you have another USB drive which can be tested on the N100 USB ports.

I do not think its a XP SP3 problems since I've tested using it on a T40 laptop with XP SP3.

i found slow problem,

Zone Alarm (internet security program) have an effect on slow copy. that

USB storage of Buffalo 1TB

i have two storage,  120G USB 2.5inch, and 1TB Buffallo 3.5inch

i tested,  The 120G do not slow,  but 1TB slow

remove ZoneAlarm,  1TB write copy normal and fast

i was wonder, why this result,

i think, ZoneAlarm effect only internet traffic,  But effect on USB storage

Currently

first issue, Delayed write failure, solved by install XP-SP2

i think XP-SP3 driver conflict of my NOTEBOOK

second issue, slow copy problem,  solved by erase ZoneAlarm

i don't know, why this result,

Thanks for your answer
