"ö ä ü" umlauts problem

Hi,

 

I've got a Terastation and an iMAC and used to mount shares via SMB. Now I recognized that AFP is way faster than SMB.

But there's a problem: AFP obviously doesn't support umlauts created on SMB. The strange case is: if I create a new folder in an AFP-share the umlauts work!

Has anyone a soloution to this???
