Have a Model name TS-HTGL/R5 with firmware version 1.26 on it and am trying to upgrade it's firmware to the version 1.33.  We have another one of the boxes that we performed the update on and are trying to update this one due to some performance issues. (2gb file takes 12 hours to right to it.)

I have the firewalls off, I have defender off.  I can access the device fine.  i can goto the web page fine.  I can not see it in the nas navigator or with the firmware upgrade util.

Any help?

It has to be some sort of protective software.  What anti virus software are you using?  Do you have any other computers that you can try it with?

This management machine has no protection on it.  no firewall no av no antispyware.  I upgraded the other buffalo box...same exact model.  I think I'm now finding that it is the one with the new firmware that is the problem.

2GB file took 3.5 hours to copy from it to desktop.

2GB file from box with firmware 1.26 took 1 hour

2GB From machine to server 1 minute.

500GB file from NAS boxes take just a couple minutes...just not very robust boxes.  I'll see what I can do to control the file size in the backup software.
