Hi

I have installed Windows 7 build 7600 and every thing works fine except I can no longer access the link station 1 TB machine model number HD-CE1.0TLU2-AP

help as I backed up my xp to this drive

JoshC

Until Windows 7 offical release it is not supported.

Shmoo

I am currently running Windows 7 Ultimate RC Build 7100 and have mapped the share volume on my LinkStation Pro LS-XHL 1.0 TB drive.  So it is compatible.

JoshC

Didnt say it wasnt compatible, we just dont support it until it is offically released.

I guess depending on your partnership status w/ Microsoft, Windows 7 is production, but anyhow...

I've heard others encountered (and I can confirm) issues w/ older NAS solutions w/ authentication.

Not sure if this applies to you, but you can try changing the LAN manager auth level to "Send LM + NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negociated".  (This is on win7).

Hope this helps.

I found the solution on another forum site.  From "Computer" select "Map Network Drive". Select the drive letter you want to use. In the Folder field, enter your NAS name and folder share name: \\NASname\share  as you normally would.  Mine is \\ls-01\vol1   (The share name vol1 comes from my old NetWare 3.12 days. :smileyvery-happy: )

Check "Reconnect at Logon".  *** ALSO check "Connect Using Different Credentials". ***  Click Finish. When the username and password box pops up, for your user name use the format of NASname\username.  Mine is ls-01\bob  Enter your password as you normally would. Click OK and you're done.

I am also able to print to my printer (HP LaserJet 1012) that I have attached to a USB port on the Buffalo LinkStation.

I have a Buffalo LinkStation Pro Duo.  I'm running the Windows 7 RTM version (Version 6.1.7600) of Windows 7 Professional (32 bit).

Hope this helps.
