LS-CH500L resume

I have done some searching through the forums but can't seem to find a solution to my problem.

 

I have the LS-500L NAS Drive Firmware 1.07, with Nas Navigator 2.18. I am running Windows XP with the latest service packs/updates. I have also set my firewall and windows firewall to allow full access for the Buffalo software and services. My drive is also set to a static IP address by my router.

 

I have my NAS Drive power set to 'Auto' and usually keep my computer in Standby mode. When I physically hit the power button on my computer the computer resumes and the NAS Drive powers up and works with no problems. When I send the computer to Standby mode, it powers down. No problems.

 

Now I have my computer set to wake up at a certain time and run a backup program. The computer powers on with no problems (ACPI works well), but the NAS Drive does not power on unless I physically move the mouse or click a key on the kyeboard. The computer can sit on for 1 min, 5 min, 10 min, but unless I do something to 'stimulate' computer the NAS drive is off and if I am trying to run a backup in the middle of the night, it doesn't work.

 

I am using WakeOnStandby (http://www.dennisbabkin.com/php/download.php?what=WOSB) to wake computer from Standby, run the backup program, and put computer back in Standby mode. I have tried having the software run NAS Navigator and shortcut to drive, I have tried call the NAS Drive by it's direct IP address, but nothing 'wakes' the drive so the backup can run.

 

Is there a command or something that i can use to tell the drive to 'wake up' so the backup can run?

 

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
