well i understand that in order to use the terastation i need to first enable it, I follow directions as far as i can

1. Go to start menu and click Programs > BUFFALO > TurboUSB for HD-HSQ.

2. Choose "Enable" in the window that pops up

Then it instucts me to disconnect the hardwhare with the "Safely remove hardwhare" icon (which never appeared in my systray)

so instead of using the  "Safely remove hardwhare" icon ive been just turning the off switch to unplugg the USB then replugged it in.

This doesnt seem to help at all, because now when i run through the same steps it gives me the error msg "TurboUSB function cannot be enabled"

what is the model number of the unit that you have?

TeraStation does not support "TurboUSB." It's a network drive, not a USB drive. (For better usage) You need to install "NAS Navigator" to use your TeraStation. From NAS Navigator you can access the administration page.
