Linkstation Quad: unable to boot-up normally

I have a LinkStation Quad LS-Q1.0TL/1D, installed 3 new additional 1TB WD HDD's, now with full complement of 4x WD10EADS-00L5B1, FW 1.1, RAID 5

 

Unit has been in use only past 3 weeks, avg. 6-8 hours per day (BT application).  Powered off manually last night, 12MN.  Powered on this morning at 11AM, and still displaying abnormal signs as of now (5PM):

- continuous flashing of blue LED

- continuous high-speed blinking of green LED no. 3

- can not see the device in my network

- cooling fan working normally

 

The unit will not power down using the power button.  How to fix? Any help now will be appreciated (local tech support unavailable this weekend until Tuesday next week).

If the light keeps flashing then it doesn't sound like it is booting at all.  The only solution that we have for a unit that doesn't boot is the TFTP procedure.

I read the TFTP process and requisite steps - am afraid I'm network sysadmin "challenged" and overwhelmed by the procedures.  I decided will just take my unit to local tech support today.  Thank you for response.

   Brought my unit over to the local (southeast asia country) Buffalo products agent and had the problem fixed. Firmware version is 1.11. Unit quietly and reliably running since yesterday. Thanks PCP and JoshC for previous responses to my original query. My next task is to enable web access thru BuffaloNas.com, knowing my ISP does not assign static IP. I have to read more and get educated, and search the forum for tips/guide on this matter.
