Home network with 1-5 active workstations, two printer servers, two ethernet file servers and one linux webserver.

 

Is it normal that the device is working all the time ?

The HD rattles without a seconds pause even if I cut the connection to the device for hours. Network sniffers don't see any abnormal traffic.

The HD is about 35.7% full. It is used only as a basic file server for photos.

Connecting through the web page takes minutes and moving data is slooow..

It has been like this from the beginning.

 

The voice is annoying.

 

Is there anything to do ?
