I just bought a drivestation combo (HD-CEIU2) and connected it to my notebook. (HP dv5t, Intel Core 2 duo 2.0 Ghz, 3 GB RAM)

The operating system is Vista Ultimate 64-bit.

The maximum data transfer rate I can achieve with this external drive is just 6 MBps (Both USB and FireWire). I was expecting somewhere around 20 MBps.

Furthurmore whenever I try manually enabling the Turbo USB for the drive. The drive simply gets disconnected (ejected??) from the system.

Even worse when I try enabling it again after the drive has been disconnected, I get a weird error message which says. "????????????????". Maybe it's some language which I haven't installed ..

All my other system drivers are well updated .. a transcend external drive gives me 18.1 MBps transfer speed.

I was expecting this drive to be faster .. :(

Anyone got any suggestions?
