We are installing new computers and coping essential files computer to computer.  We would like to use our Buffalo 500GB External Drive on our new systems but want to wipe it clean.  Are there any special procedures to follow to format the Buffalo drive so that it starts clean on the new system?

No specific procedure, you can just right click and go to format (or erase on mac)
