Changing IP address on LS220DE

I have two LS220DE's.  When I replaced house router I need to reconnect all devices.  One of the LS220DE reconnected with changed IP address thru Properties on Navigator.When I try changing the other 220's ip address I get a connection error.  I have shut down the 220 and restarted properly but that did not help.  I did an initialization restart and that did not help either
any suggestions
