Unable to open bittorrent download manager GUI

Hi

I have a LinkStation LS220D. I am trying to enable bittorrent. I have switched it on in the control panel, chosen a path and left the port on 9090

When I click Open Download Manager I get a webpage saying ...

This site can't be reached
<linkstation ip> refused to connect.

It is trying to go to <linkstation ip>:9090/gui/

Have tried different browsers. Have tried with Windows Defender switched off. No difference (it is back on now).

Did a reboot to see if that helped. It didn't.

Ran an update to 1.67 (latest firmware). That also rebooted it.

I can go to the main IP for the box to get at the control panel so not sure why can't get at the bittorrent interface?

I am expecting a login to pop up that I just put admin into but not getting that far

Really annoying! Not sure if I want to use this feature as yet as read mixed reviews but would like to at least try it

I can see other people have had this sort of issue but not found a solution that works for me, apologies if missed something obvious

Update: I have now tried accessing the bittorrent GUI from two other machines - one physical and one virtual. Still doesn't work.

Any suggestions welcomed!

Got hold of buffalo support as drive fairly new and they say do re-initialise of LinkStation. Data should survive but back-up first which is a hassle! Loads to copy over yet again

Still, will see what happens once backed all up

Reinitialisation didn't work. Have passed log to support and they are investigating

Will post again if get a solution that may help others
