Bittorrent UI slow/broken

hello people of the internet

ive got a bit of a problem with my nas box. a couple days ago my bittorrent client started to slow down, logging in, general UI and maybe downloading but that mite be the client side (i havent tested that yet). ive cleared bitorrent as i know it can get a bit over loaded after downloading too much. but after turning off the nas and starting with a fresh bittorent its still very slow.

has anyone else had this problem or am i on my own?

what ive tested it on: mac, pc, android, chrome, safari

my set up:  Buffalo Link Station Pro Quad LS-QVL 16TB 4-Bay

firmware: 1.74 (DTCP-IP:1.65-20130731)

router: gigabit
