I need some advice. We have a Buffalo Drivestation. I think it is HD-QLU3. A older model I think, purchased in 2014.

I have been told that the main controller has gone bad and have been told it is not worth fixing. Therefore we have lost our backup data. Any thoughts on repairing the controller? Is it worth it? Any idea on the costs?

Thanks!

Here is the documentation for you unit if that helps.

If your unit is RAID 1 then you may be able to pull one of the drive and direct-attach it to a computer to interface with the data. But you may have issues with filesystems.
