LinkStation LS-Q4.0 repeatedly powering off

I have a LinkStation LS-Q4.0, 4 1Tb drives in Raid 5 configuration.  Of late it has adopted the annoying habit of shutting down every few hours.  There do not appear to be any faults - it just shuts down.  I've confirmed that it is not configured for any type of auto shut down and/or restart.  It's worked flawlessly for years and it is only just now exhibiting this behaviour.

I thought about obtaining another empty carcass and thought perhaps I could move the drives into that, but would be worried that it would begin rebuilding the RAID array before I could begin configuration.

Any thoughts?

thanks in advance.
