Quick question

We have a TS5400DACA.  I'm checking the set up on this thing and I haven't found the information on the site.

This device needs to be HIPAA compliant and I don't believe the drive encryption is enabled.  When I look at the drives, Encryption shows a " - " next to each of the drives.

What should the Encryption category show if it is encrypted, and is there another place to confirm this information other than this " - " line?

Also, if it isn't encrypted. Would we need to remove all the data, reformat all the drives and re-add the data, or could we dismount one drive at a time and encrypt it and reintroduce it to the array? (Guessing we have to reformat it all but just verifying)

If the disks are encypted then there will be a tick instead of a line.
You will need to remove all the data, delete the RAID, format the disk while this time selecting the encryption option, then create a new RAID.

Running the array as degraded, formatting the drive, encrypting, and rebuilding to it is an interesting idea, but I'd bet it would change the drive size and not let you do it.
