WHR-600D is it dead?

Today I was trying to set up a buffalo WHR-600D router.

Here's what I've done so far.

# Initial Setup
- plugged in as described by quickstart.
  - Expected result:
    - Buffalo-A-6EC0 or Buffalo-G-6EC0 ssid to show up in available networks
    - http://192.168.11.1 to be accessible via browser
    - lights on the front of the router to change
  - Actual result:
    - ssids don't show up
    - http://192.168.11.1 isn't accessible via a browser.
    - Green power indicator light comes on and stays on, nothing else happens.

# Power cycle
- unplugged
  - modem
  - router
  - turned off computer
- pugged in
  - modem
  - waited 60 seconds
  - router
  - waited 60 seconds
  - turned on computer
- Expected result:
  - Buffalo-A-6EC0 or Buffalo-G-6EC0 ssid to show up in available networks
  - http://192.168.11.1 to be accessible via browser
  - lights on the front of the router to change
- Actual result:
  - ssids don't show up
  - http://192.168.11.1 isn't accessible via a browser.
  - Green power indicator light comes on and stays on, nothing else happens.

# Reset router
- held down recet button on the back of the buffalo router for over 60 seconds
- Expected Result:
  - green power light changes to red
- Actual result:
  - green power light stays green

I'm under the impression that either the router itself is defective, or the firmware wasn't loaded.

I guess I should mention that I've tired different ethernet cords.
