Lost configuration?

I have an LS421DE with two 4TB drives.
I have a number of shares on the first drive.  Some were working and now are not.
When I go in to the share configuration, those shares are now not attached to a volume.
Other shares on this drive are still working fine.

Can I recover from this?  How?

Anybody?

Some help would be appreciated.

I've rebooted and done a disk check.
The afflicted shares are still configured properly, except that "volume" no longer says Disk1 or Disk2, it's simply blank.
I don't know what else to do, and I don't want to just start poking around.

Ok, failing any input, I've removed the drive from the NAS, spent a bunch of time finding out how to read XFS in a W10 machine, and I'm pulling files off the disk.

No defects noticed by windows, SMART checks are ok. No idea what went wrong in the NAS yet, or why the NAS (apparently) couldn't read the directories.
