Each Night Veeam successfully backups 3 Windows servers to shared folders a clients TeraStation TS-8VH16TL/R6 Firmware 1.24.
As part of the Disaster Recovery Plan we are trying to schedule a Backup of these folders to an attached USB hard drive which is rotated each week night and the Drive taken off site.

The problem: looking at the NAS Web Interface these scheduled backups appear to start and shown as running - however - nothing else happens - not even the log file is created in the source folder.

I've had to reboot the NAS and run an "Immediate" backup. This starts successfully and completes successfully 7.8 hours later copying 794GB of data.
The USB Drive is listed as USB2 - a Toshiba 2 TB Drive formatted as ext3.

Elsewhere in the forums I've found:
"To setup scheduled backup properly you need to do a few step. First, clear out any backup jobs you may have schedule. Then reboot the Terastation. Next, go to the Disk Backup and enter all your backup jobs. Finally reboot the Terastation one more time. Now your scheduled backups will work."

Will this work or is the issue some where else?
