My unit is in emergency mode with the function button on a solid red. the drive in it is clean(RAW). help!!!!

New unit? If so then press the function button quickly (Les than 1 second, DONT press and hold it). The LEDs will start flashing, leave it 10 minutes and the FW will install itself.

Got it working but now it fails on formatting drives; have tried 3 different ones. And no its nit a new unit, been using it for 1yr+ now.
