I bought the WZR-HP-G300NH2 (http://www.buffalotech.com/products/wireless/open-source-dd-wrt/airstation-highpower-n300-gigabit-dd-wrt-wireless-router), which advertises "300 Mbps", but after connecting my 300mpbs connection (via cable modem) to the G300NH2, the max speed I get is ~100mbps.

HOW do I get 300mbps?

  • I'm using Firmware: DD-WRT v24SP2-MULTI (06/03/12) std - with all default settings.
  • When I plug my machine directly into the cable modem and do two different speed tests, I get 300+ Mbps.
  • When I plug my machine into the WZR-HP-G300NH2 and do two different speed tests, I get less than 100 Mbps.
