Wireless print server LPV4-U2-962235 does not see a printer

I configured the unit at my office and plugged in a USB printer - the printer appears as the proper device.  I took the print server to another location and plugged in the printer there - HP LaserJet 400.  It is never seen.  I changed the wireless SSID for the new location.  I can log in to the printer server.  The USB cable works if I plug the printer directly into a notebook computer.  I also used a different USB cable.  Any thoughts?
